Need at MAX $600 build - Page 2

^ The TX 750 V2 is overkill for this setup. The RG630 works fine for two 460s, ask any OCN PSU guru; the cash savings will allow for an AM3+ motherboard on latest chipset with better VRM setup, better case (that actually does allow for cable management, important for handling so many PCI-E connectors), better hard drives, and better RAM.

Bringing the suggestion over:

It's possible.

ASRock 970 Extreme4 SLI ready AM3+ - $115 shipped [Superbiiz]
FALLSALE coupon - $5 off [Superbiiz]
Rosewill RG630 + Rosewill Challenger - $100 shipped both [Newegg]
2x2GB G.Skill NQ DDR3-1600 - $28 shipped [Newegg]
Coolermaster Hyper 212+ - $23 shipped [NCIX]
Seagate 7200.12 1TB HDD - $50 shipped [NCIX]
Use NEWCUSTOMER10 promo on Newegg, ideally with creation of new account, to get $10 off; OR 7200.12 500GB HDD for $30 shipped if you can't use code NEWCUSTOMER10, to keep it within or at $300 budget.

Total cost: $291-$301
Oh, you will probably need to make use of the Molex to PCI-E adapters (or buy some if you don't have any) but they should be fine; the RG630 will power two 460s overclocked and the 955 overclocked.

Molex to 6 pin adapters make you look low-rent, lol.

Your right, your build looks alot better.

I took a stab at it while I waited:

How is this compared to xd's build? Should I combine the two?

The PSU in xd's build is much better, Raidmax doesn't make any good PSUs except for the RX-****AE.

xd's board is AM3+ and would be more future proof, but M4N75 would work
