MSI Afterburner Causes Crashing

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I have MSI Afterburner 220 beta 8 running and everytime i try playing driver sand Fransisco it crashes the game. I tried with MSI turned off and it works wonders for hours. I don't mind playing without Afterburner its just I rather have it running for the fan profile and OC I have. Is there a fix to this? or do I have to deal with this?

Does it still crash with out the OC and just your fan profiles on?

Try disabling low level hardware access in the general tab of the MSI AB settings. If that doesn't work try rolling back to 2.1.0 and see if that works for you. Power man is correct though, are you sure that your OC is stable an that isn't what's causing the issue?

Yea my OC is stable. I'll run unigine heaven. I attached my profile for you to see my settings. I've never had this issues before. Bf3 and all my other games run fine. I'll try doing the low level hardware. I just like to have MSI running because I love my OC benefits and my fan profile. I don't like having my card run hot =)

Btw thanks for the fast reply's =)

or maybe it's just the combination of the MSI beta 8 and 285.38 driver that causes the errors. Try checking only enable low level and force constant voltage.

The OC will stay with AB closed. I would just set your fan to 40% or 50% to keep it cool.

Really? do you mind trying real quick so i know im not the only one.

I tried all of the suggestions even just using msi fan profile. It looks like just the combination of the beta drivers causing the issues. I graphic card runs at 65 playing driver without my fan profile. I barely hear the fans is why im concerned and want msi to run.

I mean sometimes my game just either closes or turns to a black screen. I'm going to get on bf3 in a bit and ill let you know if it still crashes or not.
