Thread Starter
OK, so I recently installed a 955 BE and CM 212+ and would like to try my hand at OCing. So far, I've kicked up the CPU multiplier to 18x and I'm sitting at 3.6 GHz. I ran AMD Overdrive for one hour immediately after set up with no issues and have had it running there now for several days.

At this point, I'd like to make some more tweaks and see if I can break 4GHz. Idle CPU temp is sitting at 36C and load at 44C, so I should have plenty of overhead.

As previously mentioned I've got Asus OverDrive, but I've read quite a few comments about making the changes via BIOS instead of with software. That being said, I've been looking over some of the guides and I'm confused by the settings on my MB compared to the guides I've read. For example, I don't have a HT ref. Clock setting, only HT Link Frequency.

The voltage changes kind of worry me as well, because I don't quite understand what they all mean and how they correlate with one another. I'm a firewall analyst and been building systems for about 20 years now, but never really messed too much with overclocking anything other than my GPUs.

I'm attaching a link to some screen caps I took of the BIOS settings.

Any suggestions I can make on tweaks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Really? Search in google? That's the best answer you can provide? I've opened two different threads over the past several days asking for help and no one seems to be interested.
