I also just found this not sure if he was on caspian border or not, my fps is fine on the rush metro map
I don't mean a lot, I mean just throw it back at stock and see the difference and they maybe bring it up to say 3.7 and see if there is a noticeable difference.

Hey man, I just tried that, I went from 3.4ghz to 3.6ghz and NB from 2000 to 2400

I don't get the lagging FPS issue anymore where it freeze, now instead I get a steady 18-30 fps when when flying chopper on all ultra towards everyone viewing the hole map I still get 99% gpu usage and around 90-100% cpu but I don't think CPU is hitting 100% anymore and I still get alot more fps when I'm like just spawned in our base or looking away from people though

just blue screened it was running nice to at 30fps+ on infantry and in tanks and everything, think I should up my voltages to NB or CPU more? Im at 0.75+ on cpu, and +0.1 on NB

but do you guys think, from this evidence, that a 4core would benefit me alot in this game? It's only 100 bucks and later this year I can step up my EVGA to something higher and hopefully always have good fps. I maxed my rig back then for BF2 with a 7980 or w/e lol I'm doing it again with BF3 games just too good not to

I wouldnt spend $100 for 1 extra core....but i would spend $150 for 3 extra cores.

Frostbite engine loves CPU cores and will scale to use any that it finds.

If you can get a 6 core and overclock it to 4Ghz...your maximum frame rate wont go up by much, but much more importantly your Minumum frame rate will nearly double, so long as your 560Ti isnt the limiting factor...and in some of the larger 64plyr maps it will be.

Paying $100 for a 25% increase in CPU power is a false economy compared to $150 for a 100% increase.

I heard, from some random thread that the 4core is better then the 6core, I've no idea why he said it here it is if you wanna see it http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/305633-28-1090t

I was going to get a 6core but I read that and was huh, any truth to what that guys saying?

also, bulldozer isn't gunna support AM3 socket is it? I doubt it, I need to stop thinking about rig upgrades it's got me wanting to blown money on a hole new system almost and get abunch of ram lol

BF is a really cpu-eating game, you are going to need a quad, if not better.
