Replace my TX850W with OCZ 850W?

Thread Starter
NCIX are having a sale on the OCZ Z-series 850W Gold Modular PSU for 109$ (80$ AR)..
I'm thinking about replacing it with my current TX850W.. I like it a lot, but I just cant stand all the cables.. hiding them is a PITA.

What would you guys do?

Buy some zip ties and do proper cable management....instead of blowing $110 where its not needed. Just my 2 cents.

I would only replace the PSU if, the new one was actually a better PSU. Modular is neater, not necessarily better...

Zip ties the cables as best you can. It takes only a few mins.

I would only replace the PSU if he NEEDS a new PSU. TX750 or TX850, it doesn't matter....either would power his rig with GTX570 SLI with ease (and his sig only shows one card anyway).

Why waste money on something when you don't need it?

Buy an SSD, more storage, better speakers, sound card....... Something that you DON'T have more than enough of already. Okay, he's got an SSD.... speakers, sound card, more storage, another monitor....the possibilities are endless.

Don't waste the money, Corsair makes one of the best PSU's and modular is not needed. Usually the cables are a little shorter in modular PSU's.
I had a modular PSU where I couldnt hide the 4 pin power cable behind the mobo (it was too short) and it had to go in front of it, and it looked terrible, i could have gotten an extension cable, but i didnt.

Well it all depends. If you can sell your card for $80 since it is $121 new, and you really want modular, is $29 worth it? I don't know about the quality of the unit but spending the money on an SSD or others would be a better option.
