Tenkeyless Advice - Ducky vs Leopold - Page 2

Leopolds are usually better than Ducky in term of build quality. So I would recommend getting a Leopold.

Had my Leopold Tenkeyless Black for 5 months now. 6+ hours a day FPS'er here.

Spacebar was squeaky as hell, some WD-40 fixed that quick.
Keycap print is very durable, for a number of reasons they aren't like 6gv2 print quality and their position on the actual cap isn't where your finger will be all the time. (just a heads up for the many OCD people with mech keyboards here)
Backspace and Right Shift require EVER SO SLIGHTLY more pressure than other keys. Then again Cherry Black so it doesn't even matter. Varies from k/b to k/b obviously, that was the keyboard I got.
Void warranty if you ever want to unscrew backplate and mod it. Which I did.
Hard and durable plastic outer casing, not entirely rageproof but still good.
Good for small keyboard drawers, tight spaces.
No wristrest, but the slight beveled edge allows for one to be velcro'd. (I have a lacquered pine wristrest I made there)
Detachable USB cable a plus I guess, cable routing available (again for OCD's). Cable won't pull out as it is secured even if you don't rout it. Cable also comes with an attached velcro tie up.
Cheaper than Filco, buy another mousepad with the money you saved or something.

But best of all, no Filco ping sound.

Thread Starter
got my Otaku Tenkeyless Leopold with cherry browns today. Typing is a breeze and quiet too (compared to my Focus 2001). It is nice having my desk space back.

My purple PBT keys should be here next week, I will have some pics then.

Sweet, I am looking to buy that model I think. I've never had a mechanical keyboard before.

How is it for gaming? (if you game)
I use my PC primarily for Gaming/Web Development so I have a healthy mix of typing and pwnage.
