Interesting preliminary results.
Only die hard fanboys will say that, lol.I think most AMD users have come to the conclusion that Bulldozer was overhyped and going to be a big flop, the delays and sackings from AMD were quite indicative of something badly wrong.Shame though,in the early days it sounded revolutionry and rather promising, but the big hit is no real competition for high end allowing Intel to keep prices high.

Ithink my next rig will defo be SB-E.

You and a few hardcore bulldozer fans, have become predictable. Whenever I see a Bulldozer thread, I know that if there is an argument, one of you is involved. I am interested in buying a Bulldozer rig, as someone in my family needs a good cheap solution for Photoshop, but everytime I want to get some information on Bulldozer, I have to sip through tens of pages of trash to get to the 2-3 objective posts!!

In a similar veins, the diehard INTEL fans are ruining the OCN experience. Instead of behaving like mature people, they bicker and argue for no reason like prom girls. What happened with civilized conversations and healthy debates??? All I see is personal attacks on the internetz! This is where the mods need to start hacking and slashing! This is the root of the problem!

go on xs in the bulldozer fan whatever thread and search for chew*'s post saying something about obr's sample and the results he got ...

and you should also see a tray full of cpu's posted by chew ... showing he has and had access to cpu's before most ...

but you are right .. i wont believe those results until we see well done reviews explaining things ... amd sent reviewer kits for a reason ...

and reviewing the chip without a reviewers kit need to raise some issue on where they got their cpu and wich revision it is and so on .... but in your mind im just a fanboy like many others

Not surprised one bit. AMD have a huge problem on their hands now. Intel used to be much more expensive when you take into account cpu/mobo & ram. Sandybridge is cheap as chips. RIP AMD. One mess up too far this time I believe.

I was looking forward to BD with the hopes that it would match or outperform an 2600k. But AMD has let me down with my first potential AMD rig (other than the htpc in my parents room). I wish this reviews are just faulty and they are missing something. If not..."Danny boy, the pipes the pipes are calling..."

Im guessing these new Bios updates for the 900 series boards are coming out for a reason. New chip steppings = new Bios revisions = new performance numbers. Not known if these benches have all the updates. Might be new steppings on old Bios's, or old steppings on new Bios's or neither.

Yep, and there was an 0813 bios. I just flashed to the 0705 a couple weeks ago. So apparently something is going down.
