well....the best bench is when you hold the cpu in "hands" . They should release the damn thing already . They`re not gonna make money this way..

As expected and what I have told numerous times already: game benches are absolutely terrible to say the least.

The CPU cant keep up with the 2600k under full load already, so in games where only half threads are used it totally gets smashed.

OP should update post with the game benches I posted.

Seriously, if that performance figures turn out to be true on 12th I can understand why so many of the big people left AMD the past few months lol.

looks like Thuban & Deneb is faster then Buldozer.
Its a fail if this is true.

How can you make a new CPU slower then the previous one. Don`t they test what they release? Hopefully something is seriously wrong.

A mistake ? Intel did the same with PIII to PIV.
PIV couldn't keep up with PIII clock for clock.
PIII was therefor used to create their first dual core etc.

I dont think any magical bios update is gonna boost those score up 30% at least to be realistic.

I dont think ppl are gonna be bottleneck by the chip though since i saw on hardocp that pretty much unless you got a tri sli setup 4 ghz will do you just fine.

Im buying one just to test it out mine will be here on the 13th and i already have the water setup waiting to drop the chip in.

graphics drivers boost performance even higher than that, and that is just software... were talking about a bios here, you know the thing that tells your board what voltages and clocks to run? if they are using a crosshair V with 0404 bios (which meant for phenom II's) obviously results wont be impressive at all. when that bios was created, said chip didn't even exist, how do you even know the chip is getting what it needs?

Shady Benchmarks at best, All while still poking at a "rumored release date"
september 19th? no word from amd
september 26th? no word from amd
October 12th? no word from amd, BUT hey somebody has a picture of the retail box so it must be true!

You seems confused by your own statement? GPU drivers can result in huge performance gain but that is the driver..... your gpu also comes with a bios, have you seen any manufacturer update those often to improve performance?

You are talking totally different things....... just so you know

last time I checked GPU's were permanently soldiered to their boards. Drivers aside, your logic is irrelevant due to the fact that you cannot introduce a new GPU onto a PCB board with an old bios. you are obviously the one who doesnt know what you are talking about
