This, in my view, is not very professional as it conveys a level of censorship which tries to show some sort of 'bulldozer damage limitation'. When lab501 was showing previews of monster GPUS that were not even out yet, people were happy and did not talk about the credibility. Their FERMI preview was spot on and the final product reflected what they said. The did not sign an NDA then either and censored all the vital data on the GPUs.
I agree with this. If the legitimacy of the source is not the question, it should not be posted in the rumors section. The results are not fake. If results change after release, then that can be news too... but it doesn't change the fact that these are correct now.

AFAIK there have been no reliable benchmarks for BD, and this is definitely not the first.
Every time I switch between my AMD rig and my Intel rig (the CPU/Motherboard is the only difference between the two), I get that error. In fact, every time I change my X58 motherboard, I get that notification. I can either call MS and go through the process where I give them a code and then enter the code they tell me, or I can ignore it until I get more time.

Either way, it definitely doesn't mean their copy is illegal.

Can't believe anyone would have bought a 990FX. (before seeing BD perf)
I picked up my 990FXA-UD3 for $110 at Microcenter. I needed an AMD board (not specifically for BD) and it was cheap.

There are a lot of Intel users who also felt disappointed by AMD. We were looking on some competition and price drops but it wont happen if BD is like this. Maybe Intel knew something earlier and they decided not to drop the prices and cost 2700k higher than 2600k. I was looking for BD for a secondary build. But wont happen if they perform so bad.
Maybe next time AMD.
