Msi 870A-G54 Motherboard Overclocking Problem On Arrival?

So i got a new motherboard the Msi 870A-G54. There is this feature on the board in the bottom right that allows you to overclock it in the very corner there is a dial u can turn to over or underclock beside it is a button wich i dont know what it does but if i press and hold it my cpu fan drops about 500 RPM. the button has a gauge pointing to a bunch of notches in a half circle the notch is all the way to the right and the led light inside of it is red probably telling me i've overclock way to much. now the problem is that my computer wont display anything, my monitor sais it has a signal and is all good. Im guessing my cpu wont process anything because it isnt stable and the wierd thing about this is i didnt even touch the dial and turn it when i installed this motherboard. I then tryed every combination possible pressing the button turning the dial in different situations. I read that the motherboards ram speed supported is a max of 1300mhz but 1600mhz (OC) ive tryed to run the computer without any memory or a video card and tryed different combinations it still shows im overclocked. btw i also cannot reset my cmos for some reason !!!Amazing love to whoever can help!!!

Don't use those auto OC functions. Also, do NOT OC with this board, as it is highly prone to VRM failure with 125W processor. See link in sig: "About VRMs & MOSFETs".

Did you try turning the knob back to the left (counter clockwise) untill its arrow is pointing straight up and then pressing the OC button again? You want the lights for the OC function off (disabled) and the FSB set stock.

If you've set the dial to default and hit the key, done a cmos reset, have known good dimm/s and gpu installed. Try re-seat cpu, loosen mobo mount screws to check for a badly warped mobo tray. If you still get no display time for RMA.

@xd_1771 thanks for the ref to your VRM/mosfet article. Solid read.
