Ouch, the 3960X is around £850 here in the UK: http://www.morecomputers.com/extra.a...BX80619I73960X

Still not bad considering the price of the 990X lol. Atleast it aint near the 1K mark.

Good price I say, but a little too steep for me lol

Couldn't find any prices on the K version, but I think it's going to be around £350/400 atleast.

EDIT:

3960K price here in the UK: http://www.morecomputers.com/extra.a...K#.TqBgy97Up9Q [£469.79]

Would have liked it to be lower than £400 atleast, but who knows until we see other retailer's, for now I think this is the only website that has it.

So I'm concerned about moving to Socket 2011 given how fast intel changes. Anyone else think SB-E & Socket 2011 is a flash in the pan? Or do you think it's going to be around for a while?
