Insanely high temps

Alright so I recently found out that my bios settings were reset to stock because of a failed boot due to overclocking. This happened 6 months after I overclocked my system so it was apparently stable for 6 months and then just reset out of the blue.

However, when I tried overclocking I was getting insanely high temps on my readings for idle and load. In fact, I think my regular stock temps for idle/load are higher than they should be as well.

I cleaned out my system for dust a week ago so that can't be an issue for the temps. I'm assuming I have to reseat my heatsink, which I've done like 3 times before and still had the same problem. Or could it be that I have a bad chip? I don't wanna buy a new cooler just to have my temps drop 1-2c. I'm currently using an H50 in P/P. I know that I should be getting 70C max at load, but that isn't the case. I don't know if a reseating will do any good as I've tried before and it never helped.

I have an i7 930.
Idle temps at stock - 35-40C
Load temps at stock - 60-65C
Idle temps at 3.8 GHz - 50-55C
Load temps at 3.8 GHz - 85-90C

My overclock settings were something like this
bclk - 181
mult - x21
qpi - auto
mem mult - x8
mem freq - 1448
cpu vcore - 1.40v
qpi - 1.30v
mem - 1.64v

With these settings I was getting those idle/load temps. There goes my dreams of getting to 4.2 Ghz.

Vcore seems rather high but temps are still considerably high. What are you using to test at full load?
