Reboot Loop after Motherboard Install! please help!!

Thread Starter
Hi I just got an Asus Sabertooth 990fx after my old msi died on me. The problem is, I couldn't install the drivers on my existing installation (C:\) because my comp died without warning and because of that I get stuck in a reboot loop.

I have installed Windows 7 onto another partition (D:\) and have the correct drivers. Is there any way I can install these drivers to my C:\ drive so that I wont have to go through the hassle get all of my programs and documents back? Or do I have to start fresh?

can you just boot up on the new drive, then access your old drive as a secondary hdd?

Yes I can do that, but I don't know how to put my new motherboard drivers into that partition. And I don't want to copy everything over because I'm going to have to reinstall all of my programs, didn't want to go through the hassle

First try, the old reliable safe mode ...... After the bios screen (promptly) whack F8 a couple of times. This will allow you to access safe mode.

If this does not work, play with the drive controller mode in the bios. Maybe Disable AHCI and allow to go into IDE mode.
