Quad sli failing! because of cpu overclock? or driver?

Hello i am haveing a problem that i think is related to my overclock or it migth just be failing drivers

so im running a i7 920 overclocked @ 4ghz Validation
and im 2 gtx295 in quad sli.

now the problem is when launching some games (so far crysis, fear 3, farcry2) i losse the connection to my screen my sound keeps going (not ingame sound, sound from music or a vidio im playing) but screens just black and then "No connection" pops up and i need to force restart

now i found out that disableing quad sli in nvidia controllpannel solves this issue but thats a performance loss also this does not seem to happen when my cpu is not overclocked?

now does some one suffor simular or know a fix? and how can cpu overclock make my quad sli fail?

or is it driver related because its not all games ?

regards pakmand.

If you revert back to stock, and the issues disappear, it sounds like you have an unstable OC since you are also saying it's not with every game (and assuming you have a healthy PSU).

You could try bumping up the IOH voltage to see if that stabilizes your system with that overclock.

OK so iturned the uncore multiplyer from 18 to 15 and turned down the corre voltage a bit and now game starts fine.

i will be running intelburntest to check if stable.

what is mostlikrly to be the cause the uncore or the voltage ?

More likely the uncore, but your testing will reveal what it is. FYI, it's best to adjust one setting at a time instead of several different ones so you know what is actually making a difference.
