Having trouble with my overclocked i5-2500K please help!

Hi guys, I've been running my sig rig for a month and a half now and suddenly this week alone it has crashed three times, once my computer just froze totally and two times it BSOD'd with a 0x124 error code. All three times I was not doing anything CPU heavy. When I first achieved my 4.5 GHz overclock I checked it's stability by running a 12 hour prime95 test. All was fine so I assumed it to be stable. I'm 99% sure it's nothing to do with my cooling since the temperatures even under 100% load is under 65C.

I only changed my Turbo multiplier to 45 and changed the vcore to 1.25v initially (now 1.255v). all other settings are left at default.

This seemed to happen after one day when I booted my computer there was a BIOS error saying Overclocking failed! Press F1 to enter setup

I pressed F1 and check that the settings were the same as I remember it then rebooted the computer and seemed fine.

When looking at CPU-Z I noticed something weird to me. My RAM is clocked at 1333MHz but it said it was running at ~666.8 MHz DRAM Frequency. Is this normal? Sorry I'm quite new to this.

This happened after I reformatted my Windows about 3 weeks ago, if that is relevant. This machine is 1.5 months old.

I raised my vcore from 1.250v to 1.255v and ran memtest. memtest reported no errors. It happens for no apparent reason. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

If you have the AI Overclock on in your BIOS, turn it to off/manual. It's very poorly designed. Also, your RAM is clocked at 666.8 with a memory multiplier of 2 - that's normal.
