Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo

Yo,

I'm going on a contract soon with T-Mobile and they provide me with a free Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo. I'm going to be using a different phone though.

So I'm looking for a rough price for a brand new Xperia Neo locked to T-Mobile in the UK.

I imagine things are very different in other countries so really I'm looking for UK only please.

Thanks smile.gif

That seems about right for what I've seen them on eBay for, thanks. smile.gif

And yeah, I hadn't thought about that actually. I'll sell it as soon as I get it, should be some time next week. tongue.gif

If it is still factory sealed, I say ~£220. Unlocking it would sell it faster, but then you'll lose some value by breaking the seal + the unlocking fee. £180-200 for a quick sale.

Only thing is, T-Mobile might put my SIM card in the box, or even in the phone. So in that case, I'd need to open the box to get that. Hopefully they'll give me the Neo in a Sony Ericsson box with everything else separate, but I'm not sure since T-Mobile apparently lock all their devices.

When I had my old Samsung from t-mobile they sent the sim and its little booklets in a separate box because they have toooooooo many T&C's to fit in a tiny booklet and needs a whole box full of rubbish to explain it tongue.gif

Even When I got my htc from orange they sent it in separate boxes smile.gif

as for the locking worse case is you just ring them up and tell em, oi you stingy swines unlock ma phone naow biggrin.gif

Ah. I forgot that. redface.gif I don't know about T-Mobile, but I know Three and Vodafone puts all their crap in the same box, which is annoying. And yeah, since you're getting the phone as part of a contract it will definitely be locked. They'll charge you to unlock, but I'm pretty sure its free once the contract term has ended.

(and thanks, Ellis thumb.gif )

Yeah, I figure I'll just sell it as locked because unlocking it would mean possibly opening the box to get the IMEI (not sure if you need that for unlocking it "officially") and also turning it on etc. to make sure that it's actually unlocked and avoid complaints from the buyer telling me that their SIM isn't accepted by it.

So I figure losing a little bit of money from selling a locked phone is preferable to the above lachen.gif
