How much for a full loop? - Page 3

Check your local craigslist also if you're on a budget. The only part of a setup that wears out is the pump so used is just as good as new. I picked up a res/pump combo, radiator, fan, CPU block, all the fittings and hosing for $65. Has to be $200 of equipment he gave me.

Random forum lurker chipping in two cents here. Doing 7/16 ID tube on 1/2 in barbs will give you a VERY tight seal, and a LOT of people swear by this. But if/when you try to remove the tube from the barb, it becomes a complete pain, and you'll most likely want to just cut the tubing off and replace that section. This is especially true for acetal blocks, as trying to wrench the tube off of the barb can strip the threads on the block itself (and acrylic can crack like this too). But once assembled, tubing is relatively cheap, and not something you pop off frequently, so this would be a minor thing down the road. Otherwise, if you go for 1/2 in ID tube on a 1/2 in barb, do yourself a favor and factor in some good quality clamps. Just something to keep in mind. Otherwise, looks like a good parts list to me, though you might consider adding a t-junction for a drain valve - makes maintenance time much less of a hassle.

if funds allow I would go with andrews choices aswell though for cpu block I would get the xspc raystorm, I just offered a cheaper alternative that would do the job

More like this:

Block: Sapphire enzo block: $40 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ech-_-35708019 )

Rad: Swiftech trip res: $60 ( http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCR...r-pr-4357.html)

Pump: MCP655 vario: $85 ( http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCP...p-pr-2982.html)

do 1/2" tubing

Well under 200 for a TOP OF THE LINE water system!

Note: add your gpu block of your choice.

think the Sapphire enzo is a bit old compared to the newer blocks though good on price performance compared to the raystorm, koolance 370 and ek hf may not make it top of the line cann't find any uptodate reviews on it

I'll be getting a 6950 soon, so its gonna be the waterblock + rx240. I would like to use AP14/15s for the radiator, but if it gets too pricey, then I'm not too sure.
I like the EK Kits they comes with everything you need a compressions fittings

Stay away from XSPC bay reservoirs if you have the money to. They don't have a super high build quality and you have to be really careful when mounting a DDC style pump to it (making sure the O-ring seals just right). If you can go with the Koolance alternative.

Get the swiftech 240 res rad >_<

There is nothing wrong with the enzo. It is 2-3C worse then the HK block but has twice the flow and half the price. Now with this in mind, you can run a larger loop with less pump speed with less noise.

If you don't care about pricing and noise, go for the top contender.
