Microcenter- Bulldozer Prices, release date, and specs. - Page 3

At this rate as much as I hate to do it but I may switch to Intel. If the benches we have been seeing is any indication of what is to be expected from Bulldozer coupled with their price there is no way I would buy that.

I suppose I will wait until the 12th before I pass judgement and sell my UD7 and EK mobo block, but I suspect I'll lose money on it if BD bombs.

Microcenter does not usually discount AMD CPUs. However, I would not believe any of the reviews until a reputable site such has [H], or even the ******* trolls over at tom's do a review. I am not saying that Bulldozer won't suck but we have yet to see a whole system with pics and proof that they have a Bulldozer. Anything so far could of been faked.

You know, the fake stuff every year for April Fool's Day.

We will be doing bundled discounts of Am3+ motherboards and bulldozer cpu's on launch day.

Also, there's a good chance that your AM3+ motherboard may have been opened/used and sold as new, as we are required to do bios flashes of them in preparation for BD.

Are you guys going to start carrying the Crosshair V? I will buy it there instead of newegg if you would stock it. I have only seen the Crosshair IV the times I went to my microcenter in Houston.

So like other people have said the BIOS on these 990 series boards are not the correct ones for BD?

The reviews for the Crosshair V on Newegg are awful, many boards are either DOA,or things such as ram do not work.

Isn't that a tad too expensive to be competitive. 8120 has be better than 2500K for these to be worth the investment.

I'll be building a another PC either at the end of this year or during the summer of 2012. Hopefully AMD will come up with something nice and competitive by then.

So much for the AMD guy saying on the live stream that all AMD's new FX CPU's will be under $250,

So here in the UK we will probably be looking at £200 to £250+

why would you hate to switch to proven performance? whats the point of being committed to one brand or another? it doesn't help you or your wallet win.

Hah I'm a little surprised that MC is flashing the boards themselves. A good indication of how last minute these BIOSes are - I'm sure either party could spin that however they want though .
