Wondering has anyone used the cougar vortex pwm cf-v12hp in push/pull with

the corsair h80? And if so what sort of temps have been seen as compared to

the standard fans?

The fans that come with the H80 have awesome static pressure. Not much but high RPM fans will beat them.

I just recently got one for my TRUE Black (I know it's not an H80 but it's got a decently dense fin setup) and so far so good.

I replaced the following fan with it which sounded like a jet engine:

120mm Sunon KD1212PTB3-6A 2400rpm 69cfm 35.5db

with this Cougar Vortex

120mm Cougar CF-V12H 12v 1200rpm 0.20a pla12025s12l-4

The cougar is rated at 60cfm and 18db and those specs might not be 100% accurate, but it is definitely near silent and is cooling just as well.

edit: just noticed you went ahead and got 2 of them running. I went with the non-pwm version as it was out of stock, the CF-V12H. Went with it because I was looking for a decent 120mm fan that was quiet and was not sleeve bearing as I have it mounted horizontally blowing up. (south to north)
