well I was just wondering if the 6950s can still be unlocked. Has anyone bought one recently and unlocked it? I am thinking of getting one for my new sandy bridge rig. Thanks

Most likely you will need to buy a 2GB AMD Radeon 6950 since there is a higher success rate when unlocking the 2GB cards ad buying the 2GB version will sort of future proof your rig if you plan to add in more monitors in the near future since a larger memory is needed to support more than one monitor.

So far Gigabyte cards has the best chance of being unlocked without giving you any errors.
