I still have the 6800gt. Put it in a compaq system from around 2003 and set it up for my daughter. Slapped Windows on it but the computer only has 1 gig of ram with a sempron3000+. It's respectable for surfing and such.

Still havethat fx5200 card in an athlon 2100 system. Computer and card still run but i's in a nasty plain jain case. Think that computer was from around 2000-2001. I still have an emachine 766 but it don't run anymore. Had it in my garage and fire ants go to it. I think there was some coke spilled on the casing. Ants ate n the motherboard itself. As for my 233 intel(first system)with voodoo2. It went the way of the dodo.

The first computer I had, had an E4400 + X1300 Pro... It is still sitting hooked up to my family's TV, because we use it as an HTPC. Then I snapped an MSI 7600 GS into it! It looked so pro with its awesome design on the passive heatsink! That rig was more than enough to get me by when it came to TF2 and CS:S ...

The biggest difference though was when I put together a new rig! 965 BE @ 4GHz + 5850! Looking at the jaw dropping landscapes and water graphics that my 5850 was able to render in Just Cause 2 (maxed out) made me smile

Since then on, my love for building computers has become so extreme that I am considering pursuing it as a career... Although, I want to actually design the hardware (Computer Hardware Engineer)

my first 3D graphics card was a Voodoo 3, I paid £90 for it and was so buzzing about getting it because I always wanted a Voodoo 1 or 2, finally got the Voodoo 3 and was so excited to get OpenGL in GTA (the original top down one) and weather effects in FIFA '98.....and neither game supported the Voodoo 3, only the Voodoo 2 I was so gutted. That was running on a Gateway 2000 PC (me and my Dad went to their showroom in London, man it was awesome, cow stuff everywhere and they had a 21" CRT monitor which was just massive) with a Pentium 200MHz MMX processor with a whopping 32MB RAM and Windows 98!
I then had a Time PC which was rubbish from the get go, still used the Voodoo card which handled Carmageddon 2 quite well, then built my own since, and my cards have been as follows:

ATi 9800 Pro
ATi 9800 XT
ATi 1900 XT
NVidia 8800GTS 320MB
NVidia 8800GT 512MB (awesome card)
2 x ATi 3850 in XFire
NVidia 7900GT (voltmodded, Zalman cooler and BIOS flashed a massive overclock, this card kept me going until...)
ATi 5830
NVidia GTX570

SLI - I believe it was the first?

I only got into pc gaming after i won an enthusiast PC at work, since then i was hooked,

The PC i won in 2006 was - QX6850 @ 3.8Ghz - 680i Sli Mobo and 2x 8800GTX's

Then went to 5970 (sent back after 1 week) - Faulty and/or drivers

Then Settled for 2x GTX285's

Now got my eye on 2 x GTX570's or GTX480's (depending on price)

I do have a load of old AGP Cards lying around including a Voodoo if i'm not mistaken...

My first 3d card was a Diamond Monster 3d. Those were the 3dfx voodo chipset.
After that it was a voodo banshee. After that I went with a Riva TNT2 - That's oldskool Nvidia.

I remember having those on my cyrix 6x86 processor. That processor rocked. Around the time I switched over to nvidia I was going for AMD k6 processors. Ever since then all my builds are AMD processor + Nvidia GPU for years. I never turned to Intel and I never turned to ATI, not even when AMD bought them. Call me stubborn I don't care.

My first ever box was a 80386 with some cheap vid card on it and a SB16 and a cdrom. Played 7th guest, C+C1, Myst and a bunch of oldskool lucasarts and sierra adventure games. Those were the days!
