mouse with best build quality?

Thread Starter
i currently have Steelseries Ikari Laser, Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 and Logitech G9x

steelseries has very good ergonomics but the build quality isn't as good as logitech G9x, the buttons or the click feels more better in G9x and i hate the full rubber feel of Ikari. in short it just feels cheap

Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 on the other hand is full of plastic but a very very sturdy plastic that feels like a tank, though i would still give G9x an advantage in terms of build Quality

G9x, the best mouse that i have and it feels pretty good on my hands, the wide load grip makes the mouse feels like a tank and it feels good for my hands but at the cost of being less precise, the precision grip on the other hand is easier to control and generally feels more precise but it the grip itself wobbles on my mouse like it is not 100% fit

i am looking to try a new mouse with better build quality if possible

the micro gear on G9x scroll wheel is a very handy feature for me and its a must on getting a new mouse

i looked at R.A.T. 7 but according to the reviews and videos that i saw, the build quality and materials used to it just feels cheap

i also looked at deathadder but it just use a full body rubber, use plastic thing on the scrollwheel and doesn't have microgear

i looked at different mouse like Naga, Imperator, mamba, Xai, g700, R.A.T. 7, storm sentinel, tact x, Kone, kova and so far nothing has impressed me in terms of build quality and materials used

there is one mouse that caught my eyes and it seemed using a very high quality parts (Logitech Performance Mouse MX) but its wireless and doesn't have as good sensor and response time as my G9x:(

im looking for a mouse and here is the priority(1 highest, 2 lowest)
1.build quality and materials used
2.senor
3.features
4.ergonomics
5.durability

so far the only thing that looks very interesting to me is Corsair M60 but it doesn't have any reviews atm

which in your opinion is the best mouse?rolleyes.gif

Here is a list of mice on Razer: http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/DisplayCategoryProductListPage/categoryID.35208800

This is what I own: http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.220156700/categoryId.35208800

It's solid in my hand, build quality is good, great sensor and you can adjust it to your settings.

Some might say it has to may features with so many programmable buttons.
Has 3 settings for ergonomics. I like it.

in the long run though what you see on paper web sites is one thing but if you are real particular and it sounds like you are then you probably need to find microcenter, frys etc... and just play with mice till you find what you like.

I can't comment on the build quality of the RAT mice, but they use the PTE sensor which is pretty poor.

3.0 is built pretty well, though I've been using mine for 3 years now and my fingers have faded the paint on the mouse buttons and the rubbery sides have pretty much deteriorated.

Logitech MX500.
I'm still using it since 2003 and works perfectly.
(9 years of everyday use and still works as I got it new. simply amazing.)
Build quality is top top top notch.
(compared to newer logitech mice, MX500 is like a tank)
I have bought newer logitech mice but they all got broken within a year.
Build quality of little thing like scroll wheel, scroll button, thumb buttons are huge for longevity of mice.

I would say the G700. I realy like the materials used on it instead of the standard rubber grip coating which over time just peels off. The textured plastic was a big plus for me.

Been using since release and it has been all good.
