beneficial to upgrade h100 with RASA kit?

Thread Starter
I just got a h100 and it does the job quite well. my idle temps are low 40's and load at about 75. so my question is would it be better if i switched out the H100 for the 360 RASA kit? would i get any better temps? and what about GPU cooling, could i add 2 GTX water blocks later down the road without having to change the pump or res? I really want to go full water cooling but the price to performance gain doesn't seem like much. someone please persuade me otherwise. Im also interested to go full custom loop as well(not RASA), if it preforms better.

examples and custom Loop suggestions are welcome. Just want to see what the community thinks.

It will be better, you will need to change the pump and radiator depending on what version you get. The RX360 is a good rad, the RS360 is mediocre.

You'll need to change the pipes as well because the ones that come with the kit are crap, they mist out very quickly and fracture around the fittings.

Well this good custom loop to start off with, its a nice big pump so there is no issues there.

PUMP / RES
D5
XSPC RASA BAY RES

Radiator
RX 360

Cpu Block.
EK Supreme HF

Gpu Block.
FC580 Nickel EN / Acetal + Another 120Rad for Both 580s (ideally)

Tube/Fittings
7/16 Primochill with 1/2" barbs.

And Comps. Shouldnt you're subtitle be "Y NO 6th Flame?"

Because I only just got my 5th flame a few days ago

Also, on the loop above, you don't have to have 120mm rads between the cards or for each card. A rad of that calibre will be able to handle it without any issues and keeping the cards at a nice cool temp.

thank you both. so im guessing ideally i should go for a full custom setup instead of the rasa kit correct? if i understand correctly it will be more cost effective. If i just wanted to cool my cpu at the current moment(GPU's maybe early next year) how much would i be looking to spend?
also any more recommendations for custom supplies? Im going to research this more as well.

The RASA kit with a CPU and a single GPU will be fine, however if you're planning on SLi then it's just not going to handle it with the pump that you get. The loop above is pretty much the rasa kit with some added upgrades.

so you think its more cost effective/cheaper to get the RASA kit then upgrade the kit from there rather than go full custom loop?

No, it'll be more cost effective to get the full custom loop because of your SLi.

ah, ok that makes sense. what am i looking at price wise? how much will a decent custom loop cost me?

Im also going to be upgrading to the upcoming ivy bridge early next year.

Yup, there is no real expandability in a rasa kit the block and rad are good but everything else is not really up for anything else.
