beneficial to upgrade h100 with RASA kit? - Page 2

Well, as I said the RX 360 model is great, but it's the pump that really lets it down.

ok thanks guys.. im going to look more into this as i really want to go full water cooling. just the matter of money of course lol. can you guys give me some more examples of some decent blocks, rads, pumps, so on? would like to see what my options will be. also note that i will be upgrading to the 1155 socket so i prefer the block be compatible with both. I also appreciate all the help you guys are giving me. thank you

You could always just keep the H100 for your CPU and start a custom WC for your GPUs. If you don't like your CPU temps with that setup, you could simply sell your H100 and use the money to buy a nice CPU block. As stated earlier, I would combine the RX360 with another 120/240mm rad.

It's cool bro,

If you want a cheaper rad then have a look at the black ice xtreme 360. It's just epic.

As for waterblocks, you have the EK HF supreme blocks, they are very good. You also have some 580 blocks

Those are pretty much the only way to go. But you can save money on your rad I guess.

There isn't really any point adding 120mm rads in there. Also keeping his H100 and getting a loop for his GPU's only isn't very cost effective, he'd be better selling the H100. Also he won't fit it all in his case.

So you're saying the RX360 is enough to cool his i7 (or future 1155 cpu) + 2x 580s? I always thought you needed more than that, though I'm no WC expert.

Im also curious about this. I still however need to find out how much I am willing to spend on all this lol.

Yeah, the RX360 is a great radiator, the only draw back on the kit is the low end pump, it's got low LP/H and terrible head pressure.

The increase in temps by having two 580's isn't going to be that much to be honest.

Ah that's very interesting to know. Thanks for the info!

Yes thank you compuman. I will have to decide now if I should just go with the rasa. Its 200 rasa vs a 400 custom loop. I think I know wat I'll choose. Thank you guys very much. Much appericiated.

I would really invest another 100$ into something like a DDC pump and the resa res. The pump with the resa kit sucks and will let you down and worsen temps. Lots of people have had it fail while ONLY using it for their CPU...

Cheers,
GA
