not winflash, but cmd :/
i right click cmd "run as administrator" type -unlockrom 0 -f -p 0 e.t.c.

also should i try get a faster memory speed? will it make much difference from 1375 to 1425 or so?

EDIT: another idea, should i use a 6970 bios flash for a bit just to see if it works?

Klinkey, check out my post here ... http://www.overclock.net/graphics-ca...l#post15267511 ... I included links to about a dozen other threads all with relevant and informative discussion about Un-Locking 6950's ... I know it's a lot to read through, but it would be a good idea to learn as much about the subject before you attempt to UnLock or FLASH that card again the wrong way Happy reading, and good luck

I have the Sapphire Toxic 6950 2GB. Mine wasn't able to unlock, but I did OC to 920/1420 on stock voltages and it runs like a beast.

You might be pushing it a little on the DIRT3 card, I think that's about as far as most get ... http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/..._card_review/3 ... keep in mind every GPU is potentially different just like CPU's and their ability to OC varies from chip to chip ... also keep in mind our TOXIC cards are just slightly better than the DIRT3 card, they come on a true 6970 Rev.2 PCB board, have better digital VRMs, come with the 6970's 8+6 pin Power connector requirement vs the 2x's 6 pin of your Dirt3, and thus the Stock voltage is 1.175v on the TOXIC compared to 1.100v on the DIRT3 ... so we can push the TOXIC card a bit further than the DIRT3 card ... http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/..._card_review/9

also installing a 6970 bios stuffed it up, it wouldnt boot so i booted from the 1st bios position and overwrote the second with the normal one. even when i had the 6970 it said default clocks 880-1375 but shaders still 1408, so i assume mine has lasercut shaders :/

edit: testing it now at 1000-1375 1.18v. hope it doesnt fragment

edit: fragmented, it seems to be fine at 990 mhz though
