Motherboard replacement help

Thread Starter
Hi guys,
Just after a little advice, my MB finally gave up the ghost after a good few years of constant use.

I am just looking to replace my MB, I did think about upgrading all together but I'm looking to buy a new camera soon so cannot really afford it till next year:cool:

I would like the ability to OC the CPU to around 3.4/3.6, when i put the new MB it will be water-cooled instead of the true.

Any ideas on what to get would be much appreciated.

Asrock Extreme 4 gen 3or Extreme 3 gen 3... can't go wrong with the extreme 4, might want to wait a month for some bios updates for the extreme 3

Gigabyte has a decent full atx board for 80.00 at new egg when it is in stock. Might want to see if you can get a used p5q pro turbo from asus if there are anymore available. Personally I would make the jump to sandy bridge. I recently built a new system and I am more than happy with the results. Spent about 500.00 once it was all said and done
