You've seen previews, not reviews.

But alas I won't try to sway your mind, that's not my intention. Be it how it will be.

1 preview is using a beta bios(9905) for EXTREME OCing
1 preview is using a experimental(0.0.9.1) bios(0705) for FX-8120

Media is going to use 0813 which again is a beta bios

Other than the BIOS fiasco

Most ASUS boards are DOA for the 900 series chipsets

What extra stuff are you talking about? There was one extra thing...the remote client. On a stock E6600 that puts my CPU usage at 0%...running an app locally or remotely will not use any extra CPU.

Unless you didn't understand what was going on? He was sending the feed from his machine and he was remoting into the machine with the FX 8120. Any thing extra you may have seen was done his local machine.

You know...I think this true. Everything thing we have unofficially seen in the last couple days was on a ASUS EVO I believe. This could be something to note. Not trying to make excuses, but this has to be at least suspicious.

Previews for us...but reviews for them since they can buy the Bulldozer based CPU already over there.

Most ASUS boards are DOA for the 900 series chipsets
and other reviewers have posted that they tried 0813 and 9905
one said with 9905 that turbo worked fine another said it didnt
one said 9905 gave better performance that 0813.
whats your point?
you said asus MB's were the problem,if thats true then AMD messed up by sending them in the presskit right?
so again my opinion on this launch stands and you reinforced it AMD botched this release

I would like to point out that I consider none of the benchmarks and information being released before NDA lift to be accurate, believable, or representative of the final product. There are several BIOS optimizations, kernel updates, driver updates, etc. that have not been released that may address performance issues with these setups - just as JF-AMD has said in several posts, including the BD pre-launch FAQ thread. This post I just found is a good example of what I am talking about:

I don't know how much performance it will increase but the people that know have said anywhere from 10%-20% performance improvement.

These are tidbits of info that allot of people here seem to ignore and just keep on trolling anything BD related. There is so much more than just the cpu at play here and many fail to realize this.
