i would like to point out that if this is true then AMD botched this release, reviewers have done their reviews and sent their cpu's back and now have to publish bad reviews because they didnt have all these fixes these past few days, reviews will be all over the place and everyone will scrutinize and cry foul and that is AMD's fault.botched i tell ya,botched

AMD has not botched the release because the processor has not released yet. The NDA lifts in two days; as for now, we're still in the dark.

Up to 3% for a CPU-intensive style benchmark, and it can vary highly in
a microbenchmark depending on workload and compiler.

Rumor: NDA ends tomorrow(October 11th)

Other than that some of these fixes might take 3 to 6 months to even implement

Tomorrow is update Tuesday, anything can happen on update Tuesday

yes they have,if what you say is true that there are bios, and SW patches coming, then the reviews that will be posted when NDA has lifted will be wrong and not representitive at all, correct.
i mean you do know they reviewers have done their testing and wrote their reviews already, they dont do it on the day the NDA lifts.
technically your right, they havent botched it yet since it isnt released, but once NDA lifts and its released then its a botched release
either way you believe what you want to believe,i know better.

You realize that is ONLY under Linux? Hardly applicable to most gamers and enthusiasts.....also up to 3% is hardly a staggering number.

Yeah, for a release as big and highly anticipated as this I simply cannot believe AMD would allow their product to reviewed/tested in anything but the best conditions possible. It doesn't make any sense that the reviewers wouldn't have these updates/fixes.

I assume that the people that are picked by AMD for REAL reviews have the proper bios and SW patches and what-not. The guy who bought his CPU in a store in Ukraine that didn't know how to install ram in Dual channel likely doesn't have a bios that likely won't be public till AFTER launch and NDA lifts... So why people keep giving so much weight to this one bench result from a very suspect person is beyond comprehension. Not to mention a lot of the other leaks were from sources like OBR and DH which do not likely have the right Bios and SW either... lets be patient.

I'll just wait 2 days and see whats right, either way doesn't matter to me, but to have a pissing contest about it b4 we have any legit details is absurd...

Sorry if this has been commented on before in this thread, but seriously? He ran the benches WHILE he was also streaming to the net? Absolutely worthless, and a total waste of time on his part.

Could be that reviewers under NDA do have the fix's, but not everyone else ? If you wanna find out where the boat leaks, put it in the water.
