Will Bulldozer clean the sand off the brigde? - Page 9

Replace "chicken" with "bulldozer" buffalo with "NDA"

Cause all these reviews leaking ALL SAYING THE SAME THING and you guys can't accept it. It's a piece of freaking plastic! It didn't turn out the way you wanted and now you're out for blood cause of your anti-corporation crap. It's called LIFE, move on.

I think BD will be pretty insane, and has a good chance of running over Sandy Bridge.
But, i'm so sick and tired of everyone being like "oooooo, Intel is so much faster!"

Of course it is, at 3 times the cost!

i7 2600k vs. Phenom II 965
$314 vs $130

Yet, you expect them to be the same? To get the same bang for a smaller buck? No. But an AMD can usually keep up with Intel.. Now, I am willing to be $100 dollars that AMD could easily make a processor that rips Intel's ass wide open, but at what price to the consumer? AMD is known for it's reliability, good performance, and VALUE, not spending immense millions on R&D, then passing on every single penny of cost onto us, the consumers.

My pure opinion is, I picked up a great motherboard, Phenom II 965 C3, 8gb of DDR3 1600, Water Cooler, New Modular PSU, and a 1TB hard drive, for no more than $400, and that was my budget..Yet, if I wanted an Intel i7 2600k build, I'd have $86 to spend on the rest.

Marvin brings up a good point. At the end of the day, whether BD fails or not, who cares? I'm upgrading to either a 2600k or an 8150, depending on final results. But it's not life or death! People will move on with their lives!

We need some levity on this board these days! Here this may help: http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DCqTU4wVvZL0

no it wont, but memory OC is better, and so are some other tweaking abilites, for subzero it is, but in terms of performance, its not as good clock for clock.

If they could, they most definitely would price their chips higher. $100 please.

Well...you wouldn't be choosing between the 2600k and a 965...you'd be chossing an i3 or a i5...which would be roughly $30-$50 than the 965. I believe they perform slightly better, but I doubt it would even be worth $20 more. That is why every budget build I put together uses an AMD CPU...ussually a Phenom 2 X3. However...if you are considering the 2600k there is nothing currently from AMD that you could compare. So you'd compare the 2600k to what your needs are...my old i7 860 isn't choking on anything yet so I don't have a 2600k as it would be a waste of money for me...for some people it might not be.

But a 2600k and a 965 shouldn't be in the same sentence...or even the same thread
