I am sadly doubting it will. Ivy and LGA 2011 will completely annihilate it though.

Some of you are very stubborn. AMD could not produce a chip as fast as Intel's regardless of whether they wanted to retain value for the consumer or not.

AMD is not capable. (that was a period)

I think I've been saying it for 6 months now, but if you folks want to continue to wait another 2 days, or 2 months or 2 years, AMD will not release a chip as fast as Intel's offerings.

AMD has only seen parity during one of the biggest screwups in Intel's history. It's very unlikely to be a repeat performance.

I'm not picking on AMD. I've had quite a few AMD boxes in the last several years. They do make good chips, and might have their role, if you are trying to fill a certain niche, but they're not going to release an uber chip and reverse the last 5 years of Intel dominance.

I haven't seen any CPU-Z screenshot that says Code Name: Zambezi on it. So the question here is, have you?

Put it this way.

If an 8150 can par with the i5 2500k, in terms of FPS performance in gaming, then i'll settle.

I won't be happy. But i'll deal with it.
