Would a Seasonic Xseries Gold 750 watt PSU be enough for crossfire 6950 2gb?
from what i read yes, a quality 750 psu will run both of them fine with enough power to overclock each one. your case will get hot so please have good airflow :3

Easily, you can run those in xfire on a good quality 650w PSU, that includes a heafty overclock.

the x750 should be fine for two 6950s. 62 amps at 12v puts it at 744 watts for 12 volt rail. a 6950 draws about 312 watts at full load but crossfiring two only draws a total of 473 watts. so that leaves about 270 watts for CPU, motherboard, and accessories.

The PSU has +12v 62A = 744w.

Each 6950 TDP 11.66A = 140w x 2 = 280w

You have headroom to go Tri-Fire 6950 2GB & + CPU + Motherboard + peripherals.

Tri-fire will be pushing it. You can do Xfire on a 650w. I'd like to see an 850w PSU for Tri-Fire.

The 750w PSU has +12v 62A = 744w

6950 TDP 11.66A = 140w x 3 = 420w

Yeah I'm may go crossfire depending on how bad my system is in the final version of BF3. In the beta with everything set to high my system which is pretty good was only getting like 30-40 frames at 1920x1200. I like at least 50 for smooth game play.

crossfire 750. trifire 850. take it from someone with this exact setup. my corsair has seasonic internals. besides you don't want your psu running at max load constantly. that's generally not where your efficiency is. to trifire with less than 850 would be an "uh oh" waiting to happen.

and believe me I understand that the vast majority of builders over estimate their needed wattage. But back to the OP, that seasonic x750 is a fantastic choice and you will be super happy with it. biggrin.gif

That's at stock without an overclock,

According to Phaedrus' PSU calc, http://www.overclock.net/power-supplies/1045231-phaedrus-quickndirty-psu-calculator.html and tbh he's god when it comes to PSU's, for xfire you need 650, I seriously doubt you'll get tri-fire running on a 750w psu.

If you are going to do that, then drop him a main tbh.
