Asus GTX 570 DirectCUII

Thread Starter
Im thinking about upgrading my old EVGA GTX 275 to a Asus GTX 570 DirectCUII, looks like the Asus runs cooler than the other brands and it comes with the mhz raised a bit higher and you can still overclock it. Do you think it worth the money for present/future? and because of it tripple slot size you wont do more than 2 SLI...

This is my system:
Intel i5 2500k
16gb DDR3 1600mhz
ASRock P67 Extreme4

Tell me what you think guys, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Personally I'd go with the Twin Frozr over the DirectCUII, strictly because it's dual slot. Having the ability to triple/quad SLI later is always good, and iirc, the Twin Frozr is the best dual slot in terms of cooling.
With the 570's you just have to make sure you get the updated PCB, the reference card has some glitches.
The twin frozr and DCUII are updated, so either one you pick will work just fine!

I have the MSI 570 Twin Frozr and the Asus 580 Direct CU and there is no doubt that the Asus cooling solution is better in terms of performance and noise levels. If you can fit the 3 slot card easily into your system, its a better choice. With that said as noted above, SLI if desired can be a challenge from a layout perspective.

Why don't you wait for the 28nm GPUs? Your current GPU is not that bad.

The msi tf look nice, but the only problem i see is a lot of people complaining about doing RMA'a 2 and 3 times, with the asus ive seen none so far and about the 28nm, how im i supposed to wait at least 4 months for the new gpu? XD, we dont know anything about it, how much its going to cost, how good are they compared to the actual gpus and so on.

I have the ASUS and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Overclocks great, and stays super cool and quite. I had to SLI it with a reference dual slot 570 though, because I have a sound card in between them.
