Bulldozer is one of those industry legends, an architecture that has grown far beyond anything the silicon could ever be. Just what the core is technically, and what it is not, is the subject of the following article.

2 more days. The way they cleared up on how the FP unit works sounds like it should be a killer in folding.

I usually really dislike SA, but everything I read seems to agree with what I hear from JF-AMD. Still excited to see what happens.

The last section got me a little excited, like theres something they wanna say but can't really do it...

I don't wanna believe the latest "leaks" though sometimes its hard not to get swayed. I don't think we have a performance king but I do think it will compete to ~10% give or take that of a 2500K. I'm still praying some sort of miracle "couldn't release till launch day" optimizations or something but it seems bleak... Oh well just a few more days and all is cleared.

Can't wait.

Problem with it competing with just the 2500K is that the 8150 is 260 dollars and the 2500K is 220.

I agree. That's why I'm getting the 8120.
