How to pilot in Bad Company 2

I like to think of myself as a better than average pilot. But when using the keyboard and mouse my skills are less like "death from above" and more like "fireball of death by my own hand". For those of you that can fly like Tom Cruise in Top Gun with the kb/mouse, congratulations. If you're like me though check this out. I'm sure a lot of you already know about this program but for those that don't its called Xpadder. It lets you use your Xbox 360 PC controller to control kb/mouse settings. Now I love kb/mouse for everything PC gaming related except flying so that is all I use it for...flying.

Here is a link to Xpadder for those interested:
http://xpadder.com/

Here are a link to the Xpadder images for different controllers you need if you decide you want to use Xpadder:
http://my.opera.com/Xpadder/blog/200...es-for-xpadder

And here is a link that I followed on how to set mine up. This is not my video, all credit goes to a guy called Wolf430.

Its really simple to set up and easy to use. Some things to remember, make sure your controls in BC2 where it says "as pilot" are set to default for Xpadder to work. Also I've read some people need to run it in compatibility mode for Vista Sp2 and/or run as administrator. I didn't need to but some may. And lastly the legitimate copy of Xpadder is $9.99. I don't mind paying for it because I like to support people that take the time to come up with programs like this. I hope some of you find this useful. I use BC2 as an example but you can use this for any game I imagine.

To fix the right stick push problem start the controller after the game launches.

Thanks I forgot to mention that. If you only use it for flying though that isn't an issue as you won't be using that anyway. I only pic the controller up when I jump in a chopper.

Does this work with other controllers, such as a Logitech Dual-Action? Can the x360ce (another similar type of XBOX controller simulator) work similarly?

Their site says it works with all game controllers as long as you've installed the controller's driver...so it should work

Yep, the Xpadder images link has images for just about every controller type I have ever seen.

I know it 100% works with the Logitech Dual Action. I used it months ago to map my Dual Action to play minecraft.

Wow thanks, I usually crashed the choppers somewhere, although I got that achievement "Airkill" on my first flight
