Looking for a sound card to replace my DAC and Amp

Due to life and other things, my CA DAC and Amp are nowhere near my PC, so I cannot run my headphones off them. As such, I want a soundcard so I can use my Ultrasone HFI-680 headphones (and DAC via a looooong optical cable)

I am an ex Creative X-Fi and Asus Xonar owner and to be honest, the Asus had worse drivers. Yet, it seems no one else really makes cards, so these seem the two real options.

What do you fellas think of this:

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-...c-hi-fi-audio!

This about the best value card? Just using it for a bit of gaming, bit of music really. I hear the jitter clock or something like that is better (as if i'd notice it )

Thoughts?

EDIT: link fixed.

hey,

That's not a bad card at all, the only issue with soundcards is "noise" emitted from the other components in your rig and fiddling with drivers. Your best bet is to have your dac/amp right next to your computer but in your case I would go with that card. If you had some really expensive and hard to drive headphones I would probably tell you otherwise though.

Maybe someone else will chime in.

If you are only running stereo, the Creative Titanium HD is a great card. Quality components and is on clearance sale for some reason at some bestbuy's in the states for $50.
