Where would that be?

All the TB's by me charge like $1.29 for hard shell and $1.59 for soft shell.

Ok this is my last quote. This is just a suggestion. None of you have to give. They asked I said yes at the register it is that simple. I usually give whether it is my local grocery store or some other charity if I am able to. This wasn't meant to be a debate. If anyone wants to give fine, if you don't fine. I don't want to keep dragging on and on with "if or why scenarios. If you give to other charities great, like I said this was just a suggestion.

For the record the World Hunger is a nonprofit that Taco Bell just happens to be helping out.

I'm not saying it's wrong; in fact, I applaud you for your good deed. I'm just thinking out loud. I see as marketing.

I was surprised by the amount of people who said no. If you can afford to go to Taco Bell surely you can afford that extra buck! Thanks all!

I find it a bit presumptuous for someone to say I have no reason to donate.

It's my own money and I shall do what I want with it. I'm not obligated to donate to every single organization that asks. Furthermore, I already donate regularly to the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute at the NIH. Combined with the fact that I'm extremely low on money like most college students, no, I'm not a greedy or selfish person like this thread implies.

There are times where I can see this apply though. For example, during Christmas the Salvation Army is ringing their bells. I do give, but not at every bell ringer in town. I know that I already did my part.
I don't give to the salvation army because the salvation army spends the majority of its money on things that aren't charity.

Not trying to start arguments, I will just say that using donations to fund mission trips which don't accomplish any actual charitable action besides spreading dogma is not the kind of charity I want donate to.

OT: I suppose I'll spend the extra dollar or two next time I'm in TB

Sigh, you totally took this out of context. No one said you were selfish or greedy. I think it is great that you give to other charities.

I forgot to stop by Taco Bell on my way home, now I'm starving.

BTW, to people that mentioned Red Cross.. I would never ever ever donate to them. They are a horrible NPO (because they're truly not an NPO). To put it in terms OCN will understand/believe/support.. they make Apple look like Google.
