Need a new mouse (again)

I've had my Zowie EC2 for half a year now, and the rubber coating recently went completely FUBAR for some reason (it just started peeling in every corner all of a sudden), so I'm looking for a new mouse.

I'm considering the G400, since I've owned three MX518's and all of them have lasted years without any issues. However, I want the option to toggle prediction.

Basically, is there a mouse with good build quality, high perfect tracking speeds, ergonomic shape (e.g. not IMO / WMO shape), and relatively low LoD (on cloth pads) where you can choose whether you want prediction on or off? Is the Deathadder the only mouse that fit these criteria?

I would recommend a logitech G500. I have one and 2 of my friends have one. Fantastic tracking speeds, ability to change sensitivity on the fly, ability to change weight of mouse! (best part for me) and a braided cable. Not to mention a bunch of programmable buttons and it just feels right.

I heard the G500 has a really awkward ridge to the rightside of the right mouse button that makes ring finger placement awkward. I'd also like it if the sensor was in the middle.

Besides those two problems I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.
