how to merge mp4 files without re-encoding and losing quality.

Thread Starter
Im recoring some battlefield 3 beta gameplay with fraps in 1080p and i use the h246 encoder to convert it into mp4 files. Since fraps cant record a file bigger than 3.9GB it makes multiple files automatically. Now i want to merge all the seperate videos together into one so i can upload it on youtube at once. Anyone know any way to merge them without losing quality? I tried it once with some program and its obvious that the quality has degraded. Help!!

You should probably merge them before using any encoder. Assuming you still have the raw files. If not you can try to use Vegas, join the clips, and render as the highest quality mp4 you can.
