What would I need to set up raid 0?

My mobo says it has raid support so do I just need another HDD? Does it have to be identical? I don't need a raid controller or anything?

I would guess that you just get a second HDD (i do think it has to be identical) and configure it as raid O in your bios...

I'm gonna get me 2 1TB discs in a few weeks and also do a raid 0 so I'll be sure to check this thread for info

The drives don't need to be identical but for best results they do. Using mismatched sizes will give you number of drives X size of the smallest drive.

I personally don't bother with Raid0 anymore! And prefer using lots of drives, but dedicating them all to different jobs
OS drive, Games drive, Fraps drive.........
Hell, I even had a dedicated Steam drive

Also if you have a slow drive (5400 rpm) and a faster one (7200 rpm), the fast er drive will be forced to run like the slower one.

It's worth it to get 2 identical drives.

So I could just add another HDD like the one I have and set it to raid?

Yes!
And then, you would have to install Windows again.
-----

You set Raid in the bios.
Then as you boot, a new boot menu option will show (Raid)
You go in that menu, and set what drives to use and what Raid you want to use, and the stripe size
Then, when you install Windows. You'll see your Raid Array
