to be fair, Apple is 1 company doing 1 release about yearly.
comparing Android as a whole is superfluous because they (HTC, Motorola, Samsung, et al) release multiple phones for multiple market segments. and half of the time the phone is rebranded by the carriers (see the Galaxy S II)
i mean you mentioned the Galaxy S line. the S II was announced Feb 13 2011
while the S (original) was announced in March 2010
. it's not exactly the same situation.
i'll still say what i believe - this is not something i'd recommend to an owner of an iphone 4. to an owner of a 3GS however it'd be a better deal.
