Temp advice

Thread Starter
Right I've just finished putting together my first water-cooled rig, and kept the same overclock I had on air (4.8).
What sort of temps should I be looking at? Any ideas?
Seems to be idling arround 35-40 and after about 30 min prime test about 60.
That sound about right to anyone? Or have I done something wrong....
hopefully good...

They seem OK if you ask me.
I got problems with "high" idle as well, I'm seeing core from 30-40s and under load in prime I'm maxing 65s. Its normal your temps are good.

Nothing to worry about. Oh one more question, what is ambient temperature?

Was about 24 when I was running the test. Normally stays somewhere between 20 and 30 ( apart from Winter! Lol)

Its alright, your temperatures are great! You shouldn't be worried at all. People suggest to stay under 85s while stress testing and you are at 60s. In real world use you will never be using CPU as much as in Prime 95/Intel Burn Test.

Also, ambient temps affect air coolers a lot. But its obvious fact.

Do some suicide runs. Up voltage to 1.55V and raise multiplier till you crash, next boot up just decrease to multiplier that didn't crash you. My chip is unlucky, it crashes at x52 and temp difference between 1,47 and 1,55V is huge ;p.
