plus 2500k

after rebate its $299

if you can sacrifice on board video then you can go for a P67 board and get a better board for $80.

The board doesn't seem good for overclocking.

This is what should be on your final list. (based on your estimated budget if you include a Biostar board) & if you want decent OCing and z68 features

Asus P8Z68-V pro (the deluxe doesnt have a video output if Imma right)

Asrock Extreme 4 Gen 3 Z68 (If you wanna save some money, go for the Extreme3)

Do NOT go for Gigabyte/EVGA/MSI for now, their boards just aint up to par with Asus/Asrock (Yes, Asrock.... amazing). I always saw Biostar as HTPC mobo manufacturers when you care about low price+sufficient features.

To be honest, I am planning to buy a 1155 board also already did my
research and I ended my vote with asus p8p67 pro B3. Board doesn't
have VGA, but supports sli/xfire (x8 mode) with 12+2 phase power
which is good for overclocking.

he does not want to spend more then $300 so choices on Z68 boards are slim.
doubt many boards under $90 will be very good OCers.

Great choice. Many people including myself use this board and it runs and overclocks like a champ
