Windows 7 & SSD Help

OK i am seeking help.I have a MSI P67A-G45 MB and i am buying a Crucial M4 64Gb SSD.I am buying Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade.Things i need to know.

!.How do i do firmware update for the Crucial M4.
2.Do i have to install my Windows XP to SSD then upgrade from there also should i activate the windows XP.
3.What should i turn off or on in the BIOS.


Also i Have a i52500k with Turbo Boost on should it say 3.7GHz in BIOS or will I only see that when I run CPUID and stress CPU.The BIOS says 3.3GHz.

i have no idea about the fw update.

go to bios after plugging your ssd (just ssd) unplug other drives and enable AHCI.

Install Windows - you don't need xp on the ssd. you can use your win7 upgrade for clean install. Choose Custom install (not the Upgrade option).

try it! it might work.
