APU build needed! - $300 MAX - Page 4

I don't get why the build I posted was ignored. Much faster in terms of CPU and GPU power. Much more future proof as well.

CPU power would be wasted and the GPU power you recommended was a GT 220. The AMD IGP smokes that GPU in every game including SC2 and Minecraft.

I'd appreciate it if you looked back at the OP and reread it.

Go back and read my second build. I recommended a 5770. Now tell me how that is weaker than an IGP. I maxed out BC2 on my 5770 and it was playable.

So much more future proof for the exact same budget. I seriously don't get how it was ignored...

Check out XD's thread - http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ce-thread.html

Very nice list of builds for budget

Because the closest MicroCenter is six hours drive. Unless you can cover gas for me, the build isn't possible. My current location is noted next to each post.

That's why it was ignored.

Microcenter sells online as well. Also, I am sure someone would be nice enough to pick one up for you and just charge for shipping.

Already been here Plus my thread is considered "outdated" until tonight's (or otherwise upcoming) AMD FX retail release.

I normally won't waste my time with "builds" that exclude things (cd, HD, OS) as they are not actually builds, just DIY pieces parts. But since i'd already started trying before i realized the negated criteria..

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=24856768

this comes to $300.95 WITH OS, i didn't see OP mentioning if OS was needed or not.

Obviously if OS is not needed than you can add RAM & probly a better APU too.
