The Modest Build (M8)

My plan was to have a full-on build log. I then got sidetracked with work. Then I got lazy and lost the desire to put one together. So now I will just throw up some of the pics that were to be included in the log.

So without further ado, on with the pics.

A shot of most of the components (details in sig):

Almost done:
tn_39.jpgtn_40.jpg
tn_41.jpgtn_38.jpg

Lights off:
tn_42.jpg

Where it sits:
tn_46.jpg

Idle CPU & GPU temps with an ambient temp of around 27c (after being on for about an hour)(Single Loop) at a resolution of 5760x1200:
43.jpg44.jpg

GPU load temps after a couple of hours of The Witcher 2 (Single Loop) at a resolution of 5760x1200:
45.jpg

Well, there you have it.

--

Just a small update:

Well, after many years of service, and installation in various Rigs, my trusty Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 finally gave up the ghost. Since the other PSUs in the closet are too small to handle this Rig, a brand new Enermax MaxRevo 1350 has taken over power duties. A nice PSU, though, their sleeving is mediocre at best.
tn_47.jpg

I also decided to change out the Res and eliminate the roller coaster turn of tubing I had in the back of the case for a more direct route. You can see how it was before in the previously posted pics. The change also removed a few degrees (on average) from the idle and load temps in the same ambient temps as before (26c-27c).
tn_48.jpgtn_49.jpg

The GPU load temps, on average, sit around 35c in Surround (5760x1200) while playing Saints Row 3, Assassins Creed Revelations, and NFS: The Run. The Witcher 2 and BF3 take them up to 42c-45c after a few hours of gameplay and everything set to max.

Update:

A change of motherboard, CPU block, and reconfiguring of the loop.
With all three Rads still being pushed and pulled by AP-15s and the GPUs now running in parallel, the temps didn't really change much.

My work here is done. Great cable management, will definitely stay pretty chilly. Let's get those clocks up and post some benchies!

edit: Forgot, kudos to the photography skills. Great pics!

The Rad fans are on a Lamptron Fanatic.
The Case fans are on a Scythe Kaze Master Pro.
The temps are being monitored with AIDA64.

This is a dream case and a dream build for me.

BTW, are those temperature pics showing on your keyboard or something?

I forget who said it, but this is overclock.net. there's no such thing as overkill, you just don't need it yet.
