CM Spawn or Xornet; what are the differences? - Page 11

Amazon has a few 3rd party sellers up, but none eligible for Amazon Prime (boo). All the same, it is slightly cheaper than getting it from the CM website.

To my knowledge, both the Xornet and the Spawn use the same sensor: ADNS 3090. There would be differences in aesthetics and price. But that's about it. Pick whichever one that seems better to you.

The Xornet uses the 3050 which claims a higher tracking speed with slightly less DPI which makes it the better sensor choice at least on paper.

Will the dpi button be a problem for you guys? I had a heck of a time with the spawn and had to change it to something else. I kept hitting it by accident at times.

Well the 9500 on the Sensei is no slouch either. It's a toss up between those two in RL.

I just set all of the DPI levels to the same level so that it didn't even matter when I hit it. If you need it, a good alternative would be to set the topmost one or two settings to what you use primarily and set the farthest down one to another setting. I accidentally hit the top DPI button, but never the bottom one.

I suppose having inconsistent positive acceleration would qualify it for not being a slouch.

I have not encountered this very much, if at all. Although i dont use the scroll wheel much in games.
