Got this mouse today, so i'll give you my impressions.
I never bought the Spawn, just because the shape seemed weird and the 800 DPI step is too high for what i'm used to (i find anything but 6/11 in windows unacceptable).
Right now i am using Sidewinder X3 just because it's the best compromise for me. I will write a few things about this one too, because i really think the best way to review a mouse is by comparison and i don't trust the Enotus Mouse test ( i always get bad results with it compared to Skylit's sensor list for example). The cable is pretty awful but i replaced it with Xai's cable and it works like a charm. I can make this sensor to skip (6010) but never in game. The fastest maneuver i can think of is when i turn 180 degrees. I never noticed negative or positive acceleration until i hit the malfunction speed. At 2CD still tracks perfectly but at 3CD stops tracking at all.
I payed the equivalent of 33$ for the Xornet and i am pleasantly surprised by it's quality considering. The shape is not the best (i have a thing for ambidextrous mice) but i feel like i can adjust to it. The cable it's bad. Not like the original Sidewinder X3 cable or the WMO's one, but it's pretty thick and stiff. I can think of several mice cables that work better than this one. Abyssus cable comes to mind, Xai's, Krait's etc etc etc, the no.1 being the EC series cable.
I changed the polling rate from the start with hidusbf and i'm using 500 DPI/500hz on a Roccat Taito mtw edition. I don't notice any jitter and the prediction seems less than Avago 6010. Something between 6010 and MLT04 (WMO).
The maximum control speed is bad though. I always hit it when i'm doing my 180 spins in game. This is something that never happened with the Sidewinder or the WMO, so it's safe to say the malfunction speed is worse than the A6010. Now the LOD. This is a bit weird. The sensor tracks perfectly until a certain point, then it still tracks but it's more like a wobble:
1CD - tracks perfectly
2CD - still "tracking" but the cursor is just wobbling
3CD - stil wobbling enough to be annoying
4CD - barely wobbling but still tracks
5CD - stops tracking at all
This is the highest LOD i ever encountered. I can remember a similar LOD when i tried the DA3500, but i used the "tape fix" on that one. The maximum control speed is very low as it is on the Xornet, so i think the tape fix is out of the question. Maybe with a different mousepad the results will improve, but i'm not going to replace the Taito because i find it perfect for me and never had issues with it.
I guess i'll keep using the Sidewinder X3 for now, atleast until the AM and Kana are released.
If you guys have any questions or want me to do more testing, i will be more than happy to do so.
