Firmware, but a "spawnadder" simply isn't possible.

Well to be honest you should do a little research yourself and not bother people to justify their own statements, which are supposed to be helpful. That's just rude mate wink.gif.

Look at the pictures here and see yourself why it's not really possible:

Hey guys,

I bought the Xornet for cheap as a sidegrade from my IME 3.0 but found all of the skipping issues on my first night. Since the shape is great I bought a second hand Spawn. In the meantime my friend brought me a Handstands Supermat Grey from the states.

It seems to me that the Spawn even outperforms my Xornet on the grey mousepad. And the Xornet doesn't work much at all on my QCK. It skips at what must be 1 m/s or so on my Puretrak Talent (180 swipe).

It has been mentioned that the Xornet should have a higher top speed than the Spawn under the right circumstances. But has anyone with both mice actually found that?

Is it possible that I just got unlucky with the sensor/lens on my Xornet?

As a side note, for those who hate the standard cords, I recommend stripping away to the 4 bare USB wires. If you don't want to ruin your Spawn/Xornet cable, then do it for some old USB cord and match the pins when you plug it in to the PCB. I do this for all of my mice now and it feels amazingly better. If the cable ever breaks I have several more.

Update your spawn with this: http://www.mediafire.com/?zxwk8gu3tdun5g4

It'll give it tracking rates > 4m/s according to the other thread.

Thanks for the link. So far so awesome. biggrin.gif

Don't think I'll have anything but flawless tracking at my 25-30 cm/360. Coolermaster are really impressing me lately. The Quickfire looks nice too.

Just one quick question:

I know, that the scrolling wheel is different, but what about the main buttons? I really liked how light the clicks were on the Spawn, so I'm hoping it will be similar on the Xornet. Anyone can share some info about this matter?

Xornet and spawn is perfctly identical, the only difference is the sensor and the different painting, STOP.
