Perhaps I'll do some more oc later, but first I'm just browsing the guides, because I'm not very familiar with Intel cpu-s as I have owned AMDs mostly.
But I do have one question about LLC. When a guide says "set your LLC to high", does this mean that I need to set it to Level 5 or Level 1? (did I mention that i'm a newbie?)

Probably 1 = high, 5 = low

hi there.

i've bought a Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 two weeks ago, and i have so OC problem here.

i'm running 2600k on 4.7GHz with every CPU / RAM stress test completed w/ no error (Linx, IBT, Prime95, Memtest), but it still randomly gets BSODs BBCode: 0x0000001E, usually while i surf the web, youtubing or sth else low loading which bothers me a lot, as below is my hw spec and config:

HW Spec:
======================
CPU: Intel i7 2600K
Mobo: Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
RAM: G-Skill Ripjaw-X 16GB (F3-12800CL9Q-16GBXL)
GPU: MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 1024MB (I've downclock it to non-OC default: 822MHz / 2000MHz)
Sound: Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro PCI-E soundcard
Drive:
1. Crucial M4 128G SSD
2. OCZ Agility3 120G SSD
3. Kingston V+100 96G SSD
4. Seagate 7200.11 1T HDD
5. Seagate 7200.11 1.5T HDD
6. WD Cavier Blue 1T HDD
PSU: SevenTeam 750EAJ 750W
======================

Mobo Config:
======================
CPU: (47 x 100 @ 1.38~1.39v fixed, LLC level1)
PLL overvoltage: Enabled
IGPU: Disabled
Speedstep: Enabled (300/300/200, OC overvoltage: AUTO)
Spread spectrum: Disabled
DRAM voltage: 1.500v fixed
DDR Freq.: XMP1.2 profile default (9-9-9-24-2T @ 1600MHz)
VTT: 1.155v,
Else are by default
C1E / C3 / C6 / CState: Disabled
SATA: AHCI Mode (Active Link Power Management: Enabled, Staggered Spin-Up: Enabled)
======================

please help me, i'm dying on testings....

LLC level 1: overvolt when on load
LLC level 2: keep the bios vcore setting on load
LLC level 3: very light vdroop
LLC level 4: not so light vdroop
LLC level 5: BIG vdroop

Is this correct? So low LLC (lv 5) means lots of vdroop while high LLC (lv 1) meas no vdroop, aka voltage increase?

No problems right now, i was just going to manually set it up a stock speed w/ the power saving features disabled. But i wasnt sure if there were anything else i would have to mess w/ at stock speed. I'm going to start overclocking it in a couple weeks when this quarter ends from school because i will have more uninterrupted time to play w/ the settings and get it stable so ill just leave it until then.

Correct, level 1 is the highest. A lot of people like level 2 for OCing.

Under Dram config its says Load XMP Setting and you can choose [auto] or [xmp 1.2 profile 1]. I clicked them both but didnt see a difference in my manual settings. What do you guys have this set on?

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html Download this program, it kinda tells you what program/system files causes the BSOD, may help narrow things down.

I loaded XMP profile to enable 1600 speed. With default settings it loads my ram at 1333. However if your manual settings are already optimised, than xmp profile wont make a difference.

Yea i already got them manually set but i wasn't sure if that needed to be changed. Thanks Tstng
