Hey peeps. I have a new case on the way. I ordered me the Corsair 600T SE white! Should be to me on Monday afternoon! I'm pretty excited about it! I know this much my cable management will be much better and easier then my Antec 902!

Just a small tip I learned today..when ocing try using the Asrock Tuning Utility. I have found it much easier and more stable setting my oc thru this. If everything seems good there is a checkbox on the bottom to apply the settings at startup. I can't explain why this works better than changing settings in the bios but at least in my case it makes a big difference. Hope this helps someone..now on my way to 5.3

Hey BigMac! I'm not big to on using ASRock tuning utility. I've always done my OC via bios. Just me. But I'm glad it's working for you.

I'm usually the same way, but seriously give it a try Took me forever to get above 4.8 thru the bios and I'm benching @ 5.2 currently. I'm 100% positive I couldn't have done it w/o the utility.

Hey bigmac11, I'm driving 7 hours this weekend to the nearest Microcenter to get myself one of these sleek Extreme4 Gen3 mobo's and a 2500k for ~$315 after tax. (although I'm arguing with myself whether or not I see any reason to get a 2600k for the time I let my machine fold, and I don't really care about ppd either).

My question to you as a user of a RASA block/kit. What are you idle/load temps looking like @5.2? Seeing you reach those numbers are making me excited to ditch my 955 and get to some real numbers in overclocking. I'm folding as I type this on both my OC'ed 6970 and 955 and my load temps on the 955 are 55 degrees, idle temps are around 37 degrees.

My room is at 23 degrees I think. Are my temperatures out of whack? I think one of the problems is that my computer is sitting in a corner with little space to ventilate air. Also, I'm testing out a DIY project I'm using on my 800D where I'm using a duct connector, dryer duct, and a dryer duct hood to funnel the air from the top of my computer outside my room through the window. Although my load temps usually suffer about 8 degrees because of this constriction, it also keeps the temperature in my room to the same ambient temperature of my house. That's the whole reason for trying it out as I was sweating in the summer while my computer was pumping out a ridiculous amount of heat

Hi Modin well 5.2 wasn't 100% stable I'm sure with more voltage it would be but I want this chip to last. I can post @ 5.3 but windows crashes the minute I try to open anything. My temps @ 5.2 were 23c idle, 65c load. I think I'm going to settle for 4.9 @ 1.34 volts. After running prime all night and restating this morning I'm idleing @ 21c and loading with Intel Burn @ 53c.

My cooling system consists of Feser 480 rad, Black Ice Extreme 140, Rasa cpu block, 2x Koolance 470 blocks, Koolance Res 402x2 with dual 355 pumps. All fans are gentle typhoons ap-15 x6. The system is pretty much silent and efficient. If I have time today I'm going to reseat my rasa as I had problems mounting it. Facing the mb the lower left side is very hard to tighten due to the closeness of the mb heatsink.

Good luck on your cooling project. I'm going to be doing something next summer cause it gets hot in here when it's above 80f and no ac in my room.

21C?! Thats 69F. What is your room temperature?? Crazy.

After having some issues with my W7 install disc and my RAID 0 array i think everything has settled down and I am ready to see if i can overclock this thing to a stable 4.2 to 4.5Ghz.

I've been having my eye on a few Gen3 models. The heatsinks look huge. Does this create a problem with big CPU coolers?
